Once a week (usually on the weekend) I go through the fridge and throw out anything past its prime. I take out all the leftover veggies for the week and make some yummy soup for lunches. I wipe out the fridge quickly and I'm ready to go shopping for the next week.
This is an example of the veggies I wanted to use up this week plus some almonds to add some protein and some creaminess and some Thermie Stock paste.
I wash and cut it all up and then start with sauteeing the onion, garlic and chilli for 3 sec sp 7. Scrape it down and add the rest of the vegetables. I usually chop them when i have half of them in so i can fit more in without going over the max mark. When they are all in I chop until it looks like this as it cooks quicker.
Add around 1-2 cups water and the stock paste and a handful of almonds
Then I cook it for 15-20 min (depending ion what vegetables I have used) at 100 degrees, sp 2.
Then I add in a handful of fresh herbs, usually basil or parsley. Now for the noisy bit. Don ear protection and blend on sp 9 for 2 minutes. Make sure you take the speed up slowly.
A little Parmesan cheese. Yummy and I have a clean, organised fridge!
